PoliTECH Offers Valuable Information

March 12, 2010

The Association’s annual policy conference, PoliTECH, delivered a great deal of value to a packed room of attendees.  Our speakers provided insights into the underlying strength of Michigan’s economy, perspectives on the issues that will determine how fast our recovery will be, and details about policy proposals that will either help or harm the telecom industry.  We’ve had many requests to make the presentations available, which we’re happy to do.  You’ll find everything below.

  • State of the State Survey, Professor Charles Ballard (link)
  • Michigan’s Energy Future, Liesl Eichler Clark (link)
  • RUS Stimulus Update, Ron Mellon (link)
  • Michigan Broadband Mapping, Chip Spann (link)
  • FCC’s Major Initiatives, Steve Meltzer (link)
  • Michigan Turnaround Plan, Doug Rothwell (link)

In addition to these presentations, PoliTECH attendees heard from Commissioner Greg White, Senator Bruce Patterson and political strategists Todd Cook and Matt Resch.  If you missed PoliTECH, you missed a lot.  Plan on catching up at the Association’s annual convention in Traverse City this September.
